Medical Image Demosaicing Based Design of Newton Gregory Interpolation Algorithm

In this paper, Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) implementation-based image demosaicing is carried out. The Newton Gregory interpolation algorithm designed based on FPGA frame work. Interpolation the method of assessing value a function for any in-between self-regulating variable, whereas computing outside specified range named extrapolation. natural images are collected from Kodak database and medical UPOL (University Phoenix Online) database. proposed executed using Xilinx ISE (Integrated Synthesis Environment) Design Suite 14.2 confirmed Virtex-5 board. main aim paper to develop technique. Implementing processing hardware reduces cost make simpler debugging verification. implementation in system gives better quality output image. makes Newton- technique produces full resolution green channel with red blue channels. experimental result clearly shows that Newton-Gregory interpolation-based outperformed other algorithms. attains maximum Peak Signal-To-Noise Ratio (PSNR) 40.53 dB MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory). PSNR 38.15 dB.
